Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated. Especially the part on the window involving the flowerpot and the rubber band. That NEVER happened, trust me.
So. What have I been up to? I have been going to class, dancing (including rehearsals of my own piece, which I am choreographing to Alison Krauss's "You Will Be My Ain True Love", from the Cold Mountain movie soundtrack), working with my mini ones (yes, still tutoring), becoming a ridiculous little fangirl of Wonderfalls (EEEE!), watching the entire first season of Veronica Mars (and suddenly, Qai, the finale I watched with you all makes sense! HOORAH. But note to self: when one has never seen a show before, do not watch its season finale. Confusion ensues. End note), and exchanging a) phone calls and loff with my family and boy and b) pokes in the butt, jokes that only we understand, etc. with teh Cellie. For pictoores of our lovely room this year, I direct you here. For the picture of Cellie and I with the lovely, the brilliant, the entertaining, the Bald-As-An-Egg author of "Where's My Cow?," Terry Pratchett himself, I direct you here.
Now that I have caught you up on recent happenings via a ridiculously long sentences, things that are basically minutiae yet make me very happy: 1) No more plantar wart on my foot! It is GONE GONE GONE AHAHAHAHHA DEAD AND GONE. I can walk normally again, AND I get to dance this semester. Three cheers, baby. And 2), I have a new cell phone, so if people call me, I promise my phone won't hang up on them four times in the space of a ten-minute call. That was then. This is now, with my shiny silver precious. *pets*
Other thing that has me worried/slightly creeped out: I am not sure I wish to see the HP4 movie. Seriously. It's been rated PG-13, which I can understand if they're actually doing the cut-off-my-own-hand scene, but it seems to me from images I've seen that they're overdoing it- I've seen stills that look violent from scenes that I don't remember BEING violent. However (Cellie and I were discussing this), I think this all gets down to a more crucial point: Do I really WANT to see the last few books on screen? I think there's quite a difference in visceral impact between page and film, and the way they convey the story. Frankly, I can totally do without seeing the cave scene from Book 6, and I really don't think I WANT to see Wormtail cut his own hand off. And as Cellie points out: Umbridge's detention in Book 5? EWW. So I'm really rather apprehensive about seeing HP4 (those that know me know I have a ridiculously low tolerance for scariness in movies), and I REALLY don't want my little sister Gemma, age 11, to see it. We have agreed that she will let me make a decision after seeing it whether to take her or not when I come home for Winter Break. It worries me that they're making the movie so creepy-looking, when you KNOW parents are going to be taking their kdis to see it. *sigh* So. I have rambled in a concerned fashion for long enough.
RIGHT. Oatmeal needs to be eaten, class needs to be gone to, work needs to be done, Veronica Mars season finale needs to be watched (rewatched, rather), in preparation for the season's start on Wednesday, and then, by God, I want a nap. Ta!

Wonderfalls is *the* best show in the history of shows and it is a /crime/ that Fox cancelled it. Just genius -- the idea, execution, dialogue... Oy the joy. I have the series and I'm waiting to watch the finale. Of course, this means I have some of the eps memorized I've seen them so many times. *glee* ::points at icon:: Best. Line. EVAR!!
LOVE THE SERENITY SHIRT IN THE PRATCHETT PIC OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG TEH LOFF to your friend.

The way everything connects in Wonderfalls, and Jaye's whole mentality, just -- So, so good. ^^
Firefly is teh r0x0r!! I went to the premiere here in Columbus at 12:01am this morning. No one dressed up, but there was definitely a sense of brotherhood happening. Awesome, awesome night (and I had to be at work at 8 :/).
Another great Wonderfalls moment: "Get her words out!" and "Why do you have an ass if you don't answer it?"
:D Ah, thread count.
